Airport security just got a little closer to home. Faith Group LLC, a planning and consulting firm, just relocated to University City.
The group, which specializes in security and technology, was previously based in Olivette. The company works with several airports on several key areas of service, including:
- Command and control centers
- Information technology
- Safety management system (SMS)
- Emergency response planning
- Airport compliance programs
Co-owner Faith Varwig said University City was a no-brainer for their new office. The location at the corner of McKnight and Old Bonhomme Road puts them near everything.
“We are right in the center of everything here,” Varwig said. “We are on I-170 and at the airport in 10 minutes, which is great for us since we spend so much time out in the field.”
Faith Group also has offices in Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Fort Myers FL and Gaithersburg MD.
“Our offices are really wherever our laptops are,” Varwig said. “We go out to the clients so we don’t need a huge space here.”
The company strives to be as environmentally friendly as possible. A photo-voltaic solar roof panel system produces 25,000 watts at 240 volts. It supplies about 50 percent of the firm’s total monthly power usage.
