Augusta Air and Bus Service Slowly Returning to Normal
By Rahul Bali
Things are starting to return to normal at Augusta Regional Airport after it was shutdown Monday.
Tuesday afternoon, an American Airlines jet flew in from Dallas. That plane then turned around and headed back to DFW Airport.
Delta Airlines was able to get one of its ten flights into Atlanta yesterday, while all US Airways flights to and from Charlotte were cancelled.
Things are looking better this morning as four of Delta’s five morning flights to Atlanta are scheduled to go.
One of US Airways three morning flights to Charlotte is scheduled to fly.
American Airlines morning flight to Dallas is also scheduled to go.
The Augusta bus station on Greene Street is still locked up and dark as Southeastern Stages has still not restarted service since shutting down late Sunday.
We are told the first buses will not arrive until Wednesday afternoon around 3.
