BEND, OR — A burglar fled from a vacant building near Bend Municipal Airport after a security guard spotted him through a glass window and called police.
The building at 22550 Nelson Road was used by Cessna aircraft, but is now unoccupied.

The incident occurred shortly after 1:00am Friday. Deschutes County Sheriff’s Deputies set up a perimeter and called out a patrol dog, but the suspect slipped out and escaped.

Detectives collected what appeared to be significant evidence at the scene and continue to investigate.
