Local Company Secures Work at Orange County Airport

Monday, March 5, 2012 Heritage Security Services, a San Diego-based security business, said it was retained by Orange County to provide armed guard services for John Wayne Airport. The company will deploy 16 armed security officers monitoring vehicle gates 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and save the county more than $1 million annually, Heritage said Feb. 28.

Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
The company said it’s using a proprietary technology called CyCop that allows it to track each officer by GPS and in real time throughout the property.
Founded in 1980, Heritage Security Services provides on-site and mobile security throughout Southern California in a variety of settings, including commercial, residential, financial and government.
