Security developments in Afghanistan, Aug 30

Aug 30 (Reuters) – Following are security developments in Afghanistan at 1500 GMT on Monday.

KABUL – Afghan security forces seized two trucks filled with ammunition headed for the airport in the capital, Kabul, the Afghan intelligence agency said in a statement. It said the ammunition was illegal and was going to be transported outside the capital to an unknown destination.

KHOST – Afghan and international forces overnight captured a militant commander and several of his fighters who were involved in attacks on two foreign bases in eastern Khost province on Saturday, ISAF.
