CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Friday’s memorial service for U.S. Sen. Robert C. Byrd could cause some delays for passengers at Charleston’s Yeager Airport.

Several United States leaders, including President Barack Obama and Vice President Joe Biden, are expected to fly into Charleston on Friday morning. Some roads leading to the airport may be closed and flight delays are a possibility, airport spokesman Brian Belcher said.

Any passenger who is expected to fly between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. should arrive at least two hours before their departure time, Belcher said.

Yeager Airport will give updates on delays via their Facebook and Twitter profiles.
